Kodak 9300 CBCT

Dr. Schultz is committed to providing you with the best care possible. As part of this commitment, we have recently added a new 3D dental x-ray system (computed tomography or CBCT) to our periodontal/ implant practice and want to tell you more about what you can expect during future visits.

Detailed Images for Improved Treatment

The CS 9300 premium configuration CBCT is a 3D dental x-ray imaging system that will revolutionize our patient treatment: It will help us diagnose more accurately and treat patients with unprecedented confidence. With precise, crystal-clear 3D and 2D digital panoramic images, this system offers our team powerful insights into specific dental regions of interest for your care, such as the evaluation of bone anatomy or examining the extent of tooth fractures. This capability is essential for a wide range of diagnostics that, in turn, help us devise your treatment plans and answer any questions you have about your care and treatment options.

Reduced Exposure to Radiation

Because our new 3D system allows technicians to target a precise area for exposure, you will be exposed to significantly less radiation than other dental 3D units that lack this capability. The system combines speed, image quality and precision placement to dramatically reduce the occasional need for retakes. By using less radiation dose than conventional CT scans, our 3D system better helps us adhere to the ALARA Principle – or, “As Low As Reasonably Achievable” – which we follow to ensure we take every precaution to minimize your exposure to radiation when obtaining the necessary diagnostic images needed for your treatment planning.

Trusted Technology

The CS 9300 system was designed by Carestream Health. For more than 100 years, Carestream Health (formerly Kodak’s Health Group) has provided state-of-the-art diagnostic imaging products and support to dentists and other oral health practitioners worldwide. Our dental 3D x-ray system utilizes cone beam CT technology to deliver superb image quality for fast and accurate diagnosis and treatment.

Benefits

  • -High resolution images: Dr. Schultz can see your teeth and supporting boney structures with unprecedented detail
  • -Less radiation: your health and safety is Dr. Schultz’s greatest concern
  • -Comfortable positioning: the system’s open design makes exams more comfortable, with both seated and standing options to accommodate patients of all sizes
  • -Improved care: Dr. Schultz can perform a wider range of diagnoses with even greater accuracy, reducing multiple visits to save you time and money
  • -Many “fields of view” or FOV’s are available to capture the region of interest (ROI) without stitching the images together, they are shown below:
  • -Importation of data into an implant guided surgery program also without stitching images together

Recently, an oral and maxillofacial radiologist, said, "The standard of care for implant placement is CROSS SECTIONAL IMAGING; you have several modalities of cross sectional imaging such as linear tomography, medical CT and CBCT. They are all useful; however, if you have to pick and choose CBCT is the best modality due to the higher resolution and low radiation dosage to the patient."

Are you concerned about radiation as a result of dental x-rays or CBCT scans?
